Why Your Website Matters

Google and Facebook Are Not the Same Tool. Most Local Businesses Only Use One.

Every week, people in your town type your type of business into Google. They're not on Facebook when they do it. They're not scrolling. They're searching — specifically, actively, with a problem they need solved.

And if your business doesn't have a real website, Google has very little to show them.

How Google Search Actually Works for Local Businesses

When someone types "dentist near Berryville" or "plumber Carroll County" into Google, it returns results based on location, website content, reviews, and how complete the business listing is.

A business with a real website — pages that mention the services, the service area, and local keywords — has a meaningful advantage over one that only has a Facebook page. Google is looking for evidence that you are the right answer to what someone searched. Your website is that evidence.

Facebook doesn't feed into that process the same way. It's a closed platform. What you post there largely stays there.

When someone is on Facebook, they are in a passive state. They might notice your post, maybe even click through. But they weren't looking for you — you interrupted them.

When someone is on Google, they came looking. They have a problem and they want an answer. Being found in that moment is worth more than any post that showed up in a feed uninvited.

Converting a Google search into a customer is easier because the intent is already there. They just need a reason to pick you.

Both Platforms Have a Job. Most Local Businesses Only Have One Covered.

Facebook keeps you connected with people who already follow you. That's valuable. But it doesn't replace the channel that exists specifically for people who are searching for what you do right now.

A website covers that channel. Together, they cover the full picture: the people who know you, and the people who are actively looking for you.

Let's get the second channel working. Your site can be live in 48 hours.
